You can have an artwork made using the stars that were above your birthplace on the night you were born. It can include your star sign, or other constellations of your choice.

Or choose instead: the date and location you met your spouse, birth of a child or grandchild, wedding date, etc.

A custom night sky art work is a great gift for celebrating life milestones: graduations, births, weddings, and other rites of passage. Commissioning an artwork can also be a meaningful way to memorialize a loved one, by capturing the constellations they loved.

To create your personalized star configuration, I use a piece of open source software called Stellarium. I can put in any date and any location on Earth, and it will generate the location of the stars at that moment in time. I take a screenshot with my computer and print it out as a paper pattern, which I use to precisely hand-sew your stars and constellation(s) onto one of my night-time photographs. To get started, I just need your chosen constellations, the date you want and the location. If your location does not have a place name, I can help you find its longitude and latitude and we can work with that.
